Powdercoat:
Whether in standard black or any of the premium RAL colours, all our powder coating is done to last.
We prepare and clean the gates before fully degreasing them. They will then go through our 3-stage process, developed over many years.
With products we use in our installations, we will coat the gates and ensure all areas are protected before passing to the next stage.
The gates are passed through both the undercoat and topcoat systems before being baked to achieve fully hardened perfection. This will ensure the finish lasts many years and looks as good as new.
Automation:
Underground kit.
The Nice L fab underground automation kit is in our view the best kit available for residential use.
The foundation boxes are built for durability with great drainage and well-thought-out connections, and the lids are made from robust steel for durability and aesthetics.
The motors are as quiet as any motor on the market and will perform in all but the most extreme of duty cycles. This makes them the sensible choice for most residential settings.
The kit comes complete with:
- 24v Control board and enclosure
- Two foundation boxes with lids and acccesories
- Two 24v Motors
- Set of photo cells
- Remote receiver and two remotes
- Warning beacon
The rams are no slouch either and can be fitted on most gates* They are built on the same 24v platform as the underground kits and are good for many years of service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Cantilever and tracked sliding gates' groundworks are both not easy. With a cantilever, you have to get a lot of weight on the ground. This needs to be level and precisely in the right place, as you only get one shot.
Tracked sliding gates don't require such a large slab, but you do need to run a track the whole running section of the gates. That's into the closed position and into the open position.
Ours are built with the UK in mind and made using an ingenious UV protector. Our Eco Grain and Eco Shield ranges of composite boards not only don't fade and twist, they stay that way for the life of the gate.

The Lockinox locks we use work perfectly on sliding gates, and that's standard. If you want a code, we also do a coded version.
Some of the older gates we see are. It's usually always down to a lack of maintenance and care. A lack of oil will make them squeak, and unkept vegetation will cause them to struggle, so it is critical you carry out basic maintenance.
That's more of a gate issue. We have learnt, the hard way, I might add, how big we can be when it comes to the wind. With that in mind, we will only sell a solid gate in a size that will last. However, as all gate companies do, we always recommend you don't use your gate in strong winds.
I think sliding gates are always better automated. There are lots of products on our site for automating them, and when you order your new gate, you can add automation.
As with any automation, the trick is to keep it safe. If you're unsure on that, don't hesitate to give us a call.
